My Baby Boy...

Well, my baby boy lost his first tooth last night. He was so excited and proud of himself. But not me...I was so sad and teary at the thought of my baby growing up too fast. It seems like only yesterday that he was here in his highchair looking adorable...

And now he's such a big boy. I had just put him to bed last night (his tooth was wiggly, but still firmly in place!!!), when he came into my room with his tooth in his hand. I asked him if he pulled and wiggled it out and his reply was...

"No mummy, I was just relaxing in bed and it fell out!!!". Yeah right!!!

He had obviously made his mind up that it needed to come out (and that he needed some extra cash for our holiday next week!!!).

We've told him that now he will grow a 'Big Daddy Tooth' to replace his lost baby tooth, in the hope that he will understand that his new tooth that grows, will be with him until he's a big daddy so he must look after it carefully.

They grow up so fast! I am now going through the othodontic stage with my two (not as much fun as the tooth fairy stage that is for sure!). In answer to your question about labels, I got mine from www.cashs.com.au (online shopping tab). They were relatively inexpensive and had a variety of styles to choose from. They were super fast - took 3 days from order to delivery.

Awww, what a cutie. It is a big milestone isnt it? Lottie has lost two teeth already and she is only 4. The first one I was sure she must have knocked it on something so I was relieved when the big tooth started to come up.

Oh and I have started using your big Daddy tooth idea, except it is big mummy of course. Then she even asked me if it needs to last until she is really old like Grandma. Well since I answered yes she has been really good and letting me brush her teeth extra carefully. Thanks for the idea.

My son is fascinated about baby teeth falling out, it is a daily conversation around here.
You man is so cute! What a big deal in his life (and yours) I am sure he will spend his tooth cash on something fun!
